I did the test without my husband knowing. When it turned out positive, I took it out to him and shaking it, said, "Can you explain this?" He looked at it and we busted out laughing.

I took a test on Valentine's Day morning and put the test with his card that said, "I hope you love your surprise." He was over the moon!

To tell my DP, I wrote "I'm going to be a big brother!" on an old bib and put it on DS and sent him outside when my DP got home from work.

To announce it to my mum, we had my mum, sister and her boyfriend over for lunch. I had done three positive pregnancy tests, so I stashed them all in my pocket, and brought them out in front of everyone. My sister got it right away and yelled out, "Oh my gosh!"

We put a dummy in wrapping paper and gave it to our parents like a present.

My DD is 9 years old and we told her the day we got the dating scan done, she knew I'd been sick and bless her she was very worried about her mum. I gave her a copy of the ultrasound and said, "Your brother or sister is making mummy sick." Needless to say, she screamed the house down. She's been wanting a sibling for so long.

We've just ordered mugs online that say 'grandma to be', 'uncle to be', and 'auntie to be'! We're putting a picture of the ultrasound in them and sending them to our family.

We made a sign for each of our boys to hold then took a picture and emailed it to the rest of the family. The youngest's sign said, "I'm going to be a big brother in March". And the other two had signs saying 'true' and 'story'!!!

I made up a scavenger hunt for our family to do Christmas morning leading to clues scattered around the place we were staying. Each clue had a letter on the back so all the clues together spelt, "I'm pregnant". They figured it out before they had all the clues, but it was still a really fun way to do it.

We gave a big thick children's book full of fairy tales to our parents. Inside the cover we wrote, "Dear Granddad and Grandma, please read this to us in June." (We are having twins.) The look on their faces was priceless. They loved it and it meant they have something they can keep as well as a memory.

I took a picture of my cradle with a stuffed elephant in one corner and in the middle a little outfit and a pair of socks. In the corner I wrote, "And then there were three".

We announced with a photo collage at 13 weeks. We only got married four months ago, so I put a pre-wedding pic with the caption 'First comes love', then a wedding pic with 'Then comes marriage', and the last pic was my belly and I wrote 'Coming soon' on it in face paint.

We took a picture of our cat and dog sitting behind a little pile of baby clothes. Our dog looks super happy and has a sign in front of him that says, "big brother". Our cat is asleep and his sign says, "Meh...".

I announced it on Facebook by changing my cover photo to the positive test. Took some people ages to realise what it was or meant, but it was a little bit more fun than simply saying, "I'm having a baby".

I just wrote "3 + 1 =" on my Facebook page and people guessed.

We've been engaged for well over a year now, and everyone kept bugging us about when were we going to get our act together and set a date for the wedding. So, me and my partner made up some lovely Save The Date cards and sent them out, with my due date on the front. Inside the cards was the 12 week ultrasound photo, and the message, "Wedding Postponed".
